Slide switches are a type of PCB switch that is designed to control the current flow in a circuit, which can be operated electrically or manually. Slide switches are used to manage a level of current by sliding one way or the opposite direction to either turn ‘on’ or ‘off’ or a function. Commonly the slider switch is used to turn an electrical device ‘on’ or ‘off’, by making or breaking the circuit, the circuit can be interrupted by moving the switch.
Key Features
PCB slide switches?
Our slide switches are PCB mounted. A PCB switch is a switch that is directly mounted onto a PCB (Printed Circuit Board). Surface mount PCB switches (SMD/SMT) are designed to sit flat, directly on top of a PCB. Through-hole or ‘thru-hole’ PCB switches are inserted into a drilled hole on the printed circuit boards and soldered to pads on the opposite side.
