What is an Automotive Flasher?
Automotive flasher is OEM replacements for most applications but most commonly in the automotive industry. They are often used for in-turn signals and hazard or warning flashers. This is because they are used to communicate between a driver and other road users as well as pedestrians.
Flashers are available in two types: thermal type or electromechanical type.
What is a Thermal Flasher?
An inexpensive cylinder-shaped part found in a fuse box, within the dashboard of a car. This type operates using a bi-metallic strip and contact which flashes faster when there is an increased load.
What is an Electromechanical Flasher?
A type of flasher that is designed for controlling the flash rate of a vehicles directional indicators. Electro-mechanical flashers are non-load sensitive and are also non-polarised.
