Roller Type

A Roller type is a type of Limit Switch which has a roller as its actuator head. The roller actuator head is available in a range of sizes, with an extended arm or standard arm length or a ball bearing roller suited for heavier loads.  The Roller Arm Type limit switch is used for devices or controls which require repeatedly rotational/ rotary function. The roller arm type limit switch is available in a range of arm lengths to support the function and weight-bearing. Other types of limit switch actuators available are Push Plunger, Rod Type and Cat Whisker.

Key benefits of Limit Switches:

  • Accurate and Reliable
  • Energy efficient
  • Control multiple loads and switch loads with high inductance
  • Ideal for a range of applications used within industrial environments

What are Limit Switches?

Limit switches and Proximity switches are switches used part of larger electrical current. Limit switches and Proximity switches are used part of industrial controls, electrical devices which are repetitively used for heavy-duty tasks such as lifts and commercial vehicle lifts, sensors to record or measure distance or temperature or even break a circuit if something has exceeded its limit.

Limit switches are available with a range of actuator heads, sizes and electrical specification to suit a range of applications. Limit switches are used to make or break an electrical connection When an object comes into contact with the actuator.

Proximity switches are available with a range of actuator heads, sizes and electrical specifications to suit a range of applications. Proximity switches have sensors to report back how far/close or hot/cold something is when an object meets the actuator.

See our full range of electro-mechanical components which consist of PCB and Panel mount switches. Our range of Control Panels & Automation consists of a range of Illuminated and Non-Illuminated Tact Switches, Pots & Encoders, Relays, Toggles and DIP Switches, metal push button switches, metal and plastic indicators, emergency switches, snap-action switches, key-lock switches, ideal for the automation industry, computers or robots, information technologies.

What are Control panels?

Control panels and automation panels are flat and vertical areas which can be encased in a box or unit, where switches or indicators to help control or monitor larger appliances. Control Panels can be found in large commercial and even domestic environments.
