What are Slide switches?
Essentially, a slide switch is a mechanical switch that uses a sliding motion from the off to the on position. This allows control of a circuit’s current flow without manually cutting the wire.

They are a great alternative to push button switches; you can see if the device is on or off without needing secondary indicators such as LED illuminated indicators or pilot lights. How to find the right Slide Switch?
When choosing a Slide switch, here are some of the key features to consider.
Mounting style: Slide switches are designed to be compatible with a variety of circuit setups. Our Slide switches are available as Surface Mount (SMD), meaning they sit directly on top of the board or Through-hole (THT), meaning they are threaded through holes to the other side of a PCB board.
Position: Choose from vertical, horizontal, and right angle options.
Size: We supply miniature, sub-miniature, and ultra-sub miniature size options.

Configuration: Slide switches are commonly referred to as single pole and double pole which relates to the number of circuits that are controlled by the switch. The throw defines how many positions the switches poles can be connected to.
